Communications Manager
With a diverse professional background in compliance, operations, and communications, Christina Tertzakian brings over a decade of managerial expertise to her role as Communications Manager at the Michigan Design Council (MDC). Her ability to drive process efficiencies and build strong partnerships has been a key factor in her success across multiple industries.
Since joining the MDC in 2020, Christina has applied her experience to champion industrial design across Michigan. She oversees the coordination of key initiatives, such as the Michigan Design Prize competition, which engages K-12 students in tackling real-world design challenges. In this role, she manages event logistics, builds relationships with industry leaders, and ensures that the Council’s mission of promoting Michigan as a destination for industrial design talent is effectively communicated through multiple channels. Additionally, Christina handles all incoming communications and inquiries, ensuring consistent and clear messaging for the MDC.
A lifelong Michigander, Christina is passionate about the state’s growth and is dedicated to fostering a prosperous future for Michigan’s economy and its design community. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys biking, camping, and exploring northern Michigan’s scenic beauty. As an enthusiast of Michigan’s local wine industry, Christina enjoys discovering new vineyards and supporting the region’s unique agricultural offerings.
